A survivor narrates his ordeal on how he thought he would eventually die when the shooter came back to shoot those he had shot or wounded.
Angel Colon told reporters during a hospital news conference that the shooter, identified as Omar Mateen, shot him multiple times including at point blank range and that he believes he survived because he was able to play dead as the shooter continued on his deadly rampage.
During his rampage, Mateen systematically made his way through the club shooting people who were already down, apparently to ensure they were dead, said Angel Colon, a wounded survivor.
"I look over and he shoots the girl next to me and I was just there laying down and thinking: 'I'm next, I'm dead,'" Colon said.
